THE HINDRÉS LOOP

A ride into the heart of the Brocéliande forest, where legends and heritage intertwine….

Noteworthy sites: 

• The Paimpont Abbey
• Merlin’s tomb, a Neolithic site where Merlin the enchanter is said to be held forever captive…
• The Forges of Paimpont, the industrial heart of the Paimpont forest in the seventeenth century. Up to 400 workers used to be employed there!
• The Oak of the Hindrés, a majestic, 500-year-old oak!

THE COMPER CASTLE

Follow the steps of the Lady of the Lake… Legend has it that the Fairy Vivien chose the castle lake as her home… Today, the castle hosts the Arthurian Centre, home to many exhibitions on Arthurian legend.
