Exploited and worked on since the Antiquity in Brocéliande, iron is doubtlessly one the wealth of the forest. During the 17th century, the Forges settles in Brocéliande and changes the aspect of the woods. The Forges’ village gets larger and provides work for most the territory’s inhabitants. Their activity ceases at the end of the 19th century. Today, many craftpeople keep this legacy alive and create iron-wrought art objects. The Iron Fest allows each and everyone to discover ancestral know-hows.
90 guests will be present alongside Paimpont’s Pond to share their passion.
At the corner of the stalls, discover the mysterious art of cutlery, wander in ancient and modern metallurgy shops… If iron makes your heart shiver, seize the moment and partake in a metallurgy workshop !
